There are different ways of dancing, different reason to do it and different types of music to listen to.
Dancing shouldn’t be constrained by a definition.
If there’s music and you’re moving: you’re dancing.
If there’s music and you’re moved, standing still: you’re dancing.
If the music is only in your head and you’re moved or moving: you’re dancing.
"The Death of a Disco Dancer
Well, it happens a lot 'round here"

For this episode of “Friday I’m in Rock”, we’ve curated a playlist that celebrates dancing and dancers.
Although the mandatory “Death of a Disco Dancer” it’s not a dance hit, we used it as the main title since the sunglass pictured in this photo is the Disco Dancer, but after the Smith’s single, you’ll find a mix of 70’s and 80’s songs that seem written specifically to make your whole body shake and jump.
The Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, New Order and the Cure, but also Generation X, Blondie, Cyndi Lauper and much more will take you to the moon and back.
As special feature, here’s the video of DEVO’s Whip It
