Grunge by Michael Lavine is one of my favorite photographic books and a great source of inspiration for The Quiet Before.
To me, the street art pictures of the first part of the book show great examples of individuality, creativity and spontaneity and are far above all the post produced boring pictures we’re used to see in magazines and, so called, fashion blogs…
The black and white tones of these pictures have been one of the features we tried to emulate in the “Shiny Granite” acetate color we’ve used on some of our styles.
More specifically, in the Ring of Fire, we’ve used Shiny Granite acetate and matte black metal lens rim to create a unique color palette that goes from very light bright gray to matte black.
If you like this color but are looking for a larger style, have a look at the Sick Boy.
